As our Admissions Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless admissions process, maintaining our positive image, and contributing to the growth of our daily census in both our Rehabilitation and Nursing Center facilities.

Responsibilities:

As the Admissions Director, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Operational Excellence: Keep a watchful eye on all operational aspects affecting admissions, promptly reporting any issues to our administration and corporate teams. Collaborate in developing effective systems to overcome challenges.
• Community Engagement: Support our marketing outreach initiatives by actively participating in functions and events, bolstering our facility's reputation, nurturing relationships, and increasing referrals and admissions.
• Patient-Centered Approach: Explain visitor and guest privileges, resident care procedures, and restrictions to ensure our residents and their families feel well-informed and cared for.
• Hospital Relations: Foster and sustain strong relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to ensure a consistent influx of admissions and uphold our facility's outstanding reputation.
• Financial Verification: Guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial verifications before admission, and ensure effective communication within the interdisciplinary team.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement processes, staying up-to-date with CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and insurance requirements.
• Data Reporting: Maintain comprehensive monthly statistics and report them to your team for informed decision-making.
• This position is primarily a “field” position that will involve traveling to hospitals and other referral sources on a regular basis. 

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in Admissions within a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Expertise in Medicare requirements, insurance providers (e.g., Medicare rules PDPM, HMO rules: RUGS II & III, Medicare prescription plans), and EMR software systems.
• Profound knowledge of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and various insurance protocols.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
